971 to go!

Ok have just read THE BLUEST EYE by Toni Morrison.
Didn't really like it, I have to say. It won the nobel prize for literature in 1993...was busy having a baby that year. A very dismal sort of book. I am hoping the next one is a bit more light-hearted - THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME - by Mark Haddon.
SOunds light-hearted enough anyway!

Glad to see you're still reading away....as for the 1001 books to read before you die....I think you are sick, half of them I hate some of read and would never read again because they were BORING....so I'm going to stick to my own list....read what I want...I wonder if I could come up with a list of 1001 books...

I gave the same book to Gary for his birthday in 06. So far he has read about 6 from the list (aside form the ones he had already read) lol, so you are going great guns!
